Same Boss, Three Different Jobs: A Client Story

Same boss, three different jobs: a client story, by Megan Vasquez

She quit a job because of her boss.

Then the same boss showed up at her next job. And at the one after that.

Three workplaces, three different managers, and the same micromanaging energy every time. Whenever a message came in, her first thought was, "What is it going to be now?" Every one of those bosses left her feeling junior, like she knew so little and everyone else knew better.

She came to me thinking the problem was them. It wasn't.

The boss was the reflection

When the same dynamic follows you from desk to desk, it isn't bad luck. It's a reflection. Your bosses can only show you what's already running in your Creator Field. Hers had been saying one thing for years: you have to be hard on yourself to succeed. Her managers were just saying it out loud.

That's why a new job never fixed it. You can change your company, your title and your manager, but if the script stays the same, it follows you.

What we did

We didn't make a plan to escape. We went to the root.

100% energetic: custom energy work to clear the script, and masteries pulled for confidence, power of voice and unshakable self-belief. She also got a tool for releasing looping thoughts instead of analyzing every single one.

100% physical: she rooted to her number, scheduled her raise conversations, and blocked time to start the business she'd been sitting on.

The ingredient her Higher Self gave her was simple: list the ways you've already done more than enough to be highly paid for your skills.

She left with a raise conversation on her calendar instead of a resignation letter.

In her words

"The career session gave me clear guidance on both physical and energetic action steps to take to progress myself... I cannot recommend her sessions enough ❤️"

Near the end of our call, she said, "I kept feeling like, what am I missing? ...I'm not missing anything."

She never was.

Is this you?

Not every bad boss is a reflection. Sometimes a manager is just a bad manager. But if you've had the same experience more than once, ask yourself three questions:

  1. Do different bosses make you feel the same way? Not act the same. Feel the same. Junior, behind, invisible, never enough.
  2. Did you know that feeling before this job? From school, from home, from your first job at 16.
  3. When you picture quitting, is it relief from them, or a fresh start for you? Running from someone and choosing something new feel very different.

If you said yes to two or more, you probably don't have a boss problem. You have a reflection, and it will keep finding a new face until it shifts.

Try this before your next one-on-one

The next time a message from your boss makes your stomach drop:

  • Pause and name the feeling in three words or fewer. Not what they said. How it made you feel.
  • Ask, "Where else have I felt this?" Write down the first memory that comes up. Don't analyze it. Just notice it.
  • Write one line of proof that the opposite is true. If the feeling was "junior," write down a time you led. Your Brag Book is perfect for this.

You're not arguing with your boss. You're changing what they have to reflect. When the script changes, the boss changes, or a new door opens and you walk through it because you're ready, not because you're running.

On your second (or third) version of the same boss? The Career Baddie Transformation finds the reflection and shifts it at the root.

Your wins deserve witnesses.
