Privacy Policy
Last updated October 21, 2026
Your privacy matters to me, especially because of the kind of work I do. This policy explains what information I collect, why, and what I do with it, in plain language.
Who I am
This website and its services are run by Megan Vasquez (“Megan,” “I,” “me,” or “my”), an intuitive, medium, telepathic animal communicator and coach based in New Jersey, USA. This policy applies to meganvasquez.com, meganvasquez.mykajabi.com, my checkout pages, my email list, and the sessions, programs and courses I offer (together, my “services”).
Questions about your information? Email me at [email protected].
What I collect
Information you give me
- Contact details, like your name and email, when you join my email list, a waitlist, fill out my contact form, take a quiz, or apply for mentorship.
- Purchase details, like your name, email, billing address and payment information when you buy something. Payments are processed by Kajabi and its payment processors (such as Stripe or PayPal). I never see or store your full card number.
- Session information, meaning whatever you choose to share before, during and after a session: your questions, your story, and details about your life, your loved ones in spirit, or your animals. This can include sensitive information, such as health, grief, relationships, work, or money.
- Session recordings and notes. Most sessions happen over Zoom and are recorded so you can rewatch them. I may also keep written notes.
- Messages you send me by email, Instagram, Telegram (for example, weekly check-ins in the One Month Intensive), or other channels.
- Feedback and testimonials you send me directly or through a testimonial form, including any photos you choose to include.
Information collected automatically
When you visit my website, basic technical information is collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and how you got here. This happens through cookies and similar tools used by Kajabi and, where I use them, analytics or advertising tools such as Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel.
How I use your information
- To deliver what you bought: scheduling, holding and recording sessions, sending recordings and notes, and giving you access to programs and courses.
- To process payments, payment plans, and receipts, and to keep business and tax records.
- To reply to your messages and support you between sessions where your offer includes that.
- To send you emails you signed up for, like my newsletter, waitlist updates, and offers. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand how people use my website so I can improve it.
- To share client feedback and stories as described in “Testimonials, recordings and client stories” below.
- To protect my business, enforce my terms, and comply with the law.
How I protect session information
What you share in a session stays between us. I don’t sell it, and I don’t share it with anyone except the tools I need to run my business, as described below. The only exceptions are if I believe someone is at serious risk of harm, or if I’m legally required to disclose it.
Testimonials, recordings and client stories
Teaching through real client stories is part of how I share my work. If you send me a testimonial, I may publish it on my website, social media, or marketing materials, with your first name or initials, or anonymously.
Some of my service agreements include permission to use session recordings or excerpts in my marketing. When I share anything from a session, I remove your name and identifying details unless you’ve told me you’re happy to be named. If you’d like a testimonial you gave me taken down, email me and I’ll remove it from anything I control going forward.
Who I share information with
I do not sell or rent your personal information. I share it only with the service providers that help me run my business, and only as much as they need. These include:
- Kajabi: my website, checkout, courses, email list and forms
- Payment processors such as Stripe and PayPal
- Zoom and Loom: sessions and recordings
- Telegram: check-ins for offers that include them
- Google Workspace: email, calendar and file storage
- Testimonial tools I use to collect feedback
- Analytics and advertising tools, such as Google and Meta, if I use them on my website
Each provider handles your information under its own privacy policy. I may also share information if required by law, to protect my rights or someone’s safety, or as part of a business transfer, in which case the new owner would be bound by this policy.
Cookies
Cookies help my website work, remember your preferences, and show me which pages are useful. Some may be used to show you my ads on other platforms. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Parts of the site, like checkout, may not work properly without them.
How long I keep information
I keep your information only as long as I need it for the reasons above. Purchase and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, which is usually about seven years. Session recordings and notes are kept so you, and I if you come back, can refer to them. You can ask me to delete them at any time. Email list information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can always:
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email
- Ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you
- Ask me to correct or delete your information
- Ask me to stop using your testimonial or story
Depending on where you live, including some US states, the UK, and the EU, you may have additional rights, like the right to object to certain uses of your information or to complain to your local data protection authority. To make any request, email [email protected]. I’ll reply within 30 days. I may need to keep some information to meet legal obligations, like tax records.
International clients
I’m based in the United States, and my service providers mostly store data in the US. If you work with me from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US. I rely on your consent and on the need to deliver the services you’ve purchased to do this.
Security
I use reputable platforms and take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, like password protection, two-factor authentication where available, and limiting access to me. No method of transmitting or storing information online is completely secure, so I can’t guarantee absolute security.
Links to other sites
My website links to other sites and platforms, like Instagram, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. I’m not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
Children
My services are for adults 18 and over. I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has shared information with me, email me and I’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I’ll change the “last updated” date at the top. If the changes are significant, I’ll let you know by email or on the website.
